Build An Egg Factory

Overview

Build An Egg Factory is a full tycoon game where players build their own production line on a floating island. Nests lay eggs, conveyor belts carry them through upgrade machines, and every line ends in a sell press for instant cash or an incubator that hatches pets earning money every second.

Everything is built in a clean stud / voxel cartoon style: custom models, custom icons, custom UI and custom VFX. The game runs on desktop, tablet and phone, with saving and session locking handled for you.

Core Gameplay Loop

• Buy nests, belts and machines in the island shops.
• Build your production line on your personal plot.
• Upgrade eggs on the way: polish, inflate, paint and sort them.
• Sell eggs in a press, or hatch them into pets that pay you every second.
• Expand your plot, unlock better tiers and collect every pet in the Index.

Features

Personal Plots

• Up to 6 players per server, each with their own plot around the central plaza
• 5 plot sizes, unlocked with paid expansions (5K, 50K, 500K and 5M) and an animated expansion sequence
• Plot layout, machines and pets are saved and restored when the player comes back

Nests and Eggs

• 8 nest tiers, from Straw to Cosmic (egg base value from $2 to $3,000)
• 24 egg models: 3 rarities per nest (Normal 85%, Rare 13%, Very Rare 2%)
• Every egg has a random weight (0.5 to 3 kg) that multiplies its value
• Rare and very rare eggs have their own particle effects

Conveyor Belts

• 3 belt tiers: Wood, Iron and Gold, each faster than the last
• 5 shapes per tier: straight, left turn, right turn, start and end pieces
• Smart placement rules: belts must connect, lines cannot face each other, blocked exits are detected

Machines

• Sell Press (3 tiers): sells eggs for x1, x1.5 or x2.5 their value
• Incubator (3 tiers): hatches eggs into pets
• Polisher (3 tiers): multiplies egg value up to x2
• Inflater (3 tiers): adds weight, the egg visibly grows
• Painter (3 tiers): chance to apply a Golden (x3) or Rainbow (x5) mutation
• Sorter (3 tiers): sends rare eggs to a side exit, so they can go to a different machine
• Every machine is animated (gears, pistons, pumps, scrolling belts) with sounds and floating "+$" gains

Pets

• 24 unique pets: 8 species (Chick, Duckling, Turtle, Rooster, Goose, Owl, Dragon, Phoenix) with 3 variants each
• Mutated eggs hatch Golden or Rainbow pets with their own look
• Pets walk out of the incubator, line up in front of it and earn money every second
• Up to 8 pets per incubator: when full, the least profitable pet leaves automatically
• Smart pet placement: pets never overlap each other or your machines, and they hop over other pets on their way
• Polished VFX: hatching burst with eggshell pieces, shadows, dust on every step, rarity sparkles, "+$" income pop-ups

Index

• Collection menu with 8 rarity tabs
• Undiscovered pets appear as "???" silhouettes
• Golden and Rainbow versions are tracked separately
• Discoveries are saved permanently

Shops and Upgrades

• 4 shops with NPCs on the central plaza: Nest Shop, Belt Shop, Machine Shop and Upgrades Shop
• Rotating stock with restock timers and item rarities
• Machine Shop with category tabs (All, Sell, Hatch, Upgrade, Sort)
• Upgrades Shop with 4 permanent upgrade tracks:
  • Speed: faster belts and incubation
  • Luck: up to x3 chance for rare eggs
  • Heavy Eggs: heavier, more valuable eggs
  • Bigger Pens: up to 16 pets per incubator

Building System

• Place items from a clean inventory bar with a green / red preview
• Rotate, change belt shape, cancel
• Move or remove anything you placed: removed items go back to your inventory
• Pets stay with their incubator when it is moved
• Every action is validated on the server

Full Mobile Support

• Dedicated touch controls: tap to aim, then Place / Rotate / Shape / Cancel buttons
• Tap any placed item to Move or Delete it (with a confirmation step)
• Tap eggs, nests, machines and pets to see their info
• HUD automatically rearranges on phones (no overlap with the joystick or jump button)
• Responsive UI scaling on every screen size

The Island

• Hand-built hexagonal island: central plaza, shops, port, lighthouse, houses, trees and gardens
• Animated details: seagulls, falling leaves, waves, NPCs
• Synchronized day / night cycle with lanterns that turn on at dusk
• Quick travel buttons: Shops, My Factory and Pier, with a smooth fade transition
• In-world leaderboards

Technical Highlights

• Server-authoritative design: the server plans every egg's full path in advance, clients only animate it. Smooth movement, very low network traffic, no exploitable client logic.
• Safe saving: DataStores with session locking, periodic autosave and a clean save on leave and on shutdown. No progress loss when players switch servers.
• StreamingEnabled ready: teleports and destinations work even when parts of the map are not loaded.
• Optimized client effects: distance culling for animations and VFX, shared particle emitters, day / night cycle computed on each client.
• Modular code: shared config modules for nests, belts, machines, shops and upgrades. Prices, chances, speeds and rewards are easy to tune.
• Clean, consistent UI made with a single design system (beveled cartoon buttons, rotating sunbursts, center-anchored animations).
