NPC Dialogue

Cinematic NPC Dialogue System

Give your NPCs conversations that feel like a cutscene. Press E, and the camera eases into a cinematic shot with letterbox bars. The NPC and the player turn to face each other, and the NPC's lines type out in a pixel-style speech bubble above its head.

• Numbered choices: pick with 1-9, the mouse, W/S + Enter, or a gamepad
• Multi-page dialogues with Back (Backspace) support
• NPCs idle and turn their head to follow nearby players (R6 and R15)

• Player movement is frozen during the talk; walking away or dying closes it
• Fully configurable: keys, colours, text speed, camera and more

SETUP

1. Put the NPCDialogueKit folder in ServerScriptService.
2. Press Play, walk up to the example NPC and press E.

ADD AN NPC

• Give your NPC model the tag: DialogueNPC
• Give it an attribute: DialogueId (text), e.g. "Shopkeeper"
• Add Dialogues.Shopkeeper in Shared > Dialogues (copy the Example)

CHANGE SETTINGS

• Shared > Config (key, colours, text speed, camera and more)
